The WI Learning Hub
Everyone should be given the confidence and opportunity to create their own, unique learning journey in an accessible and flexible online environment where they can feel safe, empowered and accepted. That’s why our range of courses at the WI Learning Hub will give you the freedom and control to learn anywhere, so whether you want friendly experts, guidance, socialisation, interaction or collaborations we have it all for you.
The WI Learning Hub provides a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment for all. Women, men, home schoolers, career changers, old and young, WI members and non-members; the Hub is an open and welcoming space for everyone (although WI members have the added benefit of not having to pay for the majority of courses!)
Visit the Learning Hub here.
The WI’s No More Violence against Women Campaign
The WI has been campaigning to bring an end to violence against women and girls. Every year, as part of the UN’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence, WI members get involved to show their solidarity and support to survivors and to remember those we have lost.
You can get involved by:
- Producing care packages for your local women’s refuge:
- Get in touch with your local women’s refuge to find out what they need- www.womensaid.org.uk/domestic-abuse-directory
- Collect donations and deliver them to your local women’s refuge
- Holding a candlelight vigil in your local area, inviting members of the local community, and your local WI to attend
- Fundraising with friends and family for your local women’s refuge
- Contacting your local MP to ask them what they are doing to end violence against women and girls
The WI’s Thinking Differently: Autistic and ADHD Women & Girls Campaign
The WI is campaigning to raise awareness of Autism and ADHD in women and girls. We want to see autistic and ADHD women and girls get the support they need and for the diagnosis process to be improved.
You can get involved by:
- Learning about tools neurotypical people can adopt to support neurodivergent people- check out our booklet here.
- Crafting an infinity keyring or brooch- instructions can be found here. (Alexandra to please attach craft instructions).
- Getting in touch with your MP asking them to support our campaign.
