WI Day

Melissa Green, CEO of NFWI:

"Today is our WI Day and our 109th birthday. As always, it offers a chance to reflect on all that we have achieved together, and continue to. As we start the day and our celebrations across England, Wales and the islands, the NFWI Board and staff team would like to say thank you. As a member of the WI, you make our wonderful movement what it is. You support each other, you inspire each other - and together we create a positive change in communities up and down the land.

Whatever you do today, and however you mark WI Day, we hope that you are able to reflect and celebrate the fun and friendship of being in the WI - and feel proud of all that you have contributed to our powerful and brilliant movement. Happy WI Day!"

To help you celebrate here are the WI blackberry cocktail and mocktail recipes along with the WI toffee apple crumble poke cake. Enjoy making and sharing. Happy WI Day!
