Strawberry and Raspberry Infused Gin

A delicate infusion of summer berries in your favourite tipple. This works just as well with vodka.

Ingredients

  • 70 cl bottle of gin
  • 140g fresh strawberries
  • 140g fresh raspberries

You will also need:

  • 1 or more Kilner bottles, sterilised
  • Funnel
  • Sieve/filter paper
  • 1 Litre Kilner jar/Mason jar or Demi John

Method

Wash and half the fresh fruit, place into a large jar, pour the gin over the fruit

Shake and seal. Store in a cold, dark place

Leave to infuse for a minimum of 3 days for fresh fruit infusions

After the minimum 3 days, pour the contents of the jar into a clean jar/jug passing the liquid through a sieve/filter paper to strain any fruit from the liquid.

Place the bottles or jars that you wish to use for bottling into the oven at 140 ◦C fan/160◦ C for 10 minutes to sterilise

Pour the coloured, fragrant gin into the bottles (using the funnel) and seal
