Chief Executive

Melissa has a professional background in the third sector, with senior leadership roles in a number of national membership and volunteer-led organisations and with a focus on children, families and communities. Melissa’s previous roles include Head of Adult Support at The Scout Association, Interim CEO at Bliss, the special care baby charity, and Director of Operations at The Fostering Network.

As Chief Executive, Melissa’s role is to lead and support the NFWI staff team and work in partnership with the Board and Officers in supporting members and ensuring the continued strength and ongoing development of the organisation.

Melissa lives in East Sussex and in her spare time enjoys walking on the South Downs and getting involved in her community, including running a Scout Group for young people with additional needs.
